Academic Biography

Dr. Danielyan is a board certified Pharmacologist, Assistant Professor and Head of the Laboratory of Cellular/Molecular Pharmacology at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology. She has over 5 year experience in consulting clinicians in drug therapy and performing clinical trials and 13 year experience in pre-clinical research on in-vitro and in-vivo models of neurodegeneration. Dr. Danielyan’s current research interests include the exploration of mechanisms and efficacy of neuroprotection provided by several agents including drugs and therapeutic cells in neurologic disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease and stroke. Her pioneering work on intranasal delivery of stem cells enabled her group to become unique experts worldwide in this novel patented technology.
