Academic Biography

Dr. Jaworski got his M.D. degree at the Department of Genetics of Warsaw University. In 1996-2002 he studied as PhD student (until 2001) and Postdoctoral Associate (until May 2002) with Prof. L. Kaczmarek, Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology, Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2002-2005 he worked as Postdoctoral Associate with Prof. Morgan Sheng, Picower Center for Learning and Memory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Cambridge, MA, USA. His major success in research have led  to exploring data that provide a mechanistic link between brain anatomy and human TSC-Associated Neuropsychiatric Disorders (TANDs) and identify tyrosine receptor kinase B as a possible lead target in the search for TAND-specific drugs.
