Our mission is to have a regional center of excellence in neuroscience and brain research in Armenia, which will place the country on the global scientific map.
The “COBRAIN” Scientific-Educational Center for Fundamental Brain Research is a unique research environment within YSMU where talented researchers are recruited and advanced research methods are introduced.
The aim is to participate in the global research and development efforts on interventions to maintain healthy brain functions throughout the lifespan and prevention of chronic brain disorders ranging from early developmental syndromes, such as autism, to adult neurodegenerative conditions, such as various forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s syndrome.
