KTTO

The Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO) of COBRAIN Scientific-Educational Center for Fundamental Brain Research (COBRAIN Center) is a new infrastructure within Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) which aims to initiate to technology transfer practice in the University by pioneering the establishment of links between the industry and the University. KTTO objectives are approved by the regulation of COBRAIN Cneter and mainly represent the following schemes:

• Encouraging and supporting the researchers, the faculty and staff, PhD applicants and students on transferring the technological results;
• Creating the necessary documents to define intellectual property policies and technology transfer processes in the university;
• Defining the university’s acceptable patent portfolio along with choosing an intellectual property policy.
• Organizing trainings to facilitate acquisition of knowledge on clinical research and research project management, SOP development skills.
• Preparing, developing and implementing training programs for the development of research skills for doctors, medical scientists, research nurses, project managers, pharmacists, administrative staff, students
• Developing appropriate tools for creating and implementing educational courses.
• Coordinating the clinical trial application submission process and process flow at YSMU.
• Creating an action plan for the development and implementation of a clinical research master’s course.
• Initiating cooperation with the industry;
• Organizing courses on the intellectual property and commercialization of research results, transfer of technologies;
• Providing economic and legal consultation in the field of research, its commercialization and economic development;
• Commercialization of research;
• Establishing research-based incubators and introduction of programs;
• Providing paid educational services.
