Study Visit to Lyon University

Being the YSMU coordinator of the Erasmus+ ARMDOCT Capacity Building Project, Vice-Rector for YSMU Science, Professor Konstantin Yenkoyan took part in the doctoral education management workshop held in France at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. Together with 60 representatives of the ARMDOCT partner institutions Mr. Yenkoyan studied the process of organizing doctoral education in France, recent reforms, innovative structures of doctoral programs, supervision and co-supervision features, quality assurance mechanisms, and other related topics. Prof. Yenkoyan also had a good opportunity to discuss the structure and the content of YSMU PhD programs with European partners in group sessions. Within the framework of the visit, Prof. Yenkoyan had a meeting with Eduardo Luis Cardoso, executive director of The Interface Center EBRI of the University of Porto. A number of issues related to the establishment and development of the Office of Knowledge and Technology Transfer were discussed. The French partners emphasized the importance of long-term cooperation with Armenian universities and ensured sustainability in supporting the Armenian HEIs in the process of reforming doctoral education.
